What is the Minor Injury Cap?

Nova Scotia has a Minor Injury Cap of $2,500 that applies to people who are injured in automobile accidents. The Minor Injury Cap was created by s. 113B of the Insurance Act and the Automobile Insurance Tort Recovery Limitation Regulations (Minor Injury Reglations).
Basically, if you are deemed to have a "minor injury", then you are only entiled to receive $2,500 as compensation for the pain, suffering, and inconvenience caused by your injuries.
Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island has a Minor Injury Cap of $2,500 that applies to all people who are injured in automobile accidents. The Minor Injury Cap is created by s. 254.1 of the Insurance Act.
